Outside of work, she enjoys life on her “funny farm” with a lively crew of chickens, cats, dogs, and her beloved horse. What's your favorite animal and why?

My favorite animal is the horse. Spending time with horses has a unique way of grounding me, helping me forget the little stresses of tough days. Their strength, grace, and calming presence make them truly special companions.
What is the name of your pet and how did you choose it?

My dog’s name is Wrangler, and it suits him perfectly! As a herding dog, he’s been a natural at ‘wrangling’ ever since he was a pup. Whether it’s rounding up his toys, keeping an eye on the family, or gently herding other animals, his name truly captures his playful and hardworking spirit!
What's your favorite part about working with animals?

My favorite part is helping animals feel better—it’s incredibly rewarding. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always dreamed of having a big property filled with all kinds of animals. Working with them every day brings that dream to life in its own special way.
How do you stay updated with the latest developments in veterinary care?

I’m passionate about continuing education (CE) to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Attending conferences is a particular favorite of mine—I love hearing from new speakers, exploring fresh perspectives, and continually expanding my knowledge to provide the best care possible.
What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to consider pet insurance. It provides peace of mind, allowing you to focus on your pet’s health rather than worrying about unexpected costs when they’re sick or injured. It’s a valuable investment in their well-being and your peace of mind.
