Ashley joined the Grey Cove team in April of 2025; she graduated from Oulton college in Moncton. Her main interest in vet med is furthering her knowledge to help as many pets and people as she can. She loves spending time with family and friends, reading and spends most of her time in the barn riding her horses!!

What’s your favourite animal and why?

If I had to choose a favourite it would be horses, Spending time with my horses is so rewarding and fun it always has a way of making me forget my worries and making me feel happy.
What’s your pets name and why did you choose it?

My youngest horse is named Theia. It means goddess of diamonds; she got her name because she’s completely white and in the sun she almost shines like a diamond!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Most rewarding would be making sure every animal gets the care and respect they deserve so they can live happy healthy lives with their family’s.
What inspired you to work in this industry?

I always knew I wanted to work with animals in the future as I grew up on a farm with many animals!! but it wasn’t until my family decided to get another dog that I fell in love with veterinary medicine! My dog Zena now a 7-year-old Dalmatian has had a lot of heath issues from a very young age, always having to bring her to the vet for testing and seeing the amazing vets and techs caring for her was when I truly knew what I wanted my career to be!!
What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?

I believe it’s important for all dogs to be crate trained, so they are comfortable in case they ever need to come to the hospital or need to be confined in the event of an injury.
